    This is done by the ingredients in combination with each other acting specifically by having a protective and wound-healing effect.
    The preparation contains a combination of interacting natural substances in perubalsam that repels lumps. The constituents of the hydrophobic ointment penetrate the epidermis and blisters at the site of attack, whereby the skin reaction slows down and heals.
    QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION The quantitative composition of the preparation has the following content (w / w%). Balsam Peruvianum 14- 45% ii. Sebum, Adeps bovis 55 - 69% PREPARATION Salva. Well emulsified, light brown texture with pronounced hydrophobic properties.
    Characteristic odor of Perubalsam.

Appears in strong sunlight in connection with summer work. White areas on the mule are especially exposed and the damage can worsen when the horse is grazing.
    Symptom.
    Fluid-filled blisters that burst and sag during healing.
    TREATMENT: The infestation site is cleaned with moistened cotton, dried and the ointment is applied abundantly daily until healing is complete.
    For local, external use only. The preparation is used undiluted. The dosage should be individual and adapted to the progress of treatment. The preparation is applied to the affected area one to several times daily, or as needed.
    TREATMENT EFFECT An ointment containing the following recipe was prepared. i. Balsamum Peruvianum, 35009 ii. Adeps Bovis 65009 Preparation The sebum was turned to 45 ° C before the perubalsam was added. Stir until even consistency is obtained. The perubalam was worked into the tallow fat until an even consistency was obtained.
    The ointment was filled into plastic tubes (2009) and the treatment effect was documented by 10 horse owners / caretakers in Central Sweden, whose animals (half-blood horses) had suffered from summer eczema.
    The treatment effect was documented according to the evaluation protocol attached in the annex to this application.
